08/2009- Pre-approval received from Agency
08/2009- Began paperwork for Home Study
08/11/09- 1st Home Study meeting w/ Social Worker
08/31/09- 2nd Home Study meeting w/ Social Worker
09/14/09- 3rd Home Study meeting (visit at our home)
10/03/09- Adoption Education Course/Seminar
10/06/09- I-600A Request Received at Homeland Security
10/13/09- On-line Adoption Parenting Courses Completed
10/15/09- Home Study Completed
10/29/09- Fingerprinted for I-600A
01/04/10- Received I-171H Approval
02/11/10- Sent completed Dossier to Case Manager
02/19/10- Dossier sent to Washington D.C. to be authenticated & apostilled
02/23/10- Dossier sent from Washington D.C. to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
03/01/10- Dossier arrived & signed for in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
03/30/10- Referral Received & Accepted (yeah!!!)
04/16/10- Received Court Date Hearing Info. (scheduled for May 6, 2010)!!!
05/06/10- Case did not go to court, will proceed once agency's license is renewed
10/20/10- Agency unable to complete our adoption, transferred case to another agency
11/3/10- "B" moved to new agency's foster orphanage
12/14/10- Completed 2nd Home Study & 2nd Dossier!
12/16/10- New dossier sent to Ethiopia!
2/22/11- Leave for Ethiopia to meet "B" :)
2/23/11- Case submitted to court- finally!!!
2/24/11- Met "B" for the very 1st time :)
2/28/11- Court appt. with the judge
3/2/11- Left Ethiopia/returned home
3/15/11- Received court date for April 20, 2011
4/20/11- Court Date Rescheduled
5/3/11- Passed Court! Yeah!!!!! :)
6/22/11- Submitted to Embassy!!! :)
I don't know who would make better parents. I am belated for you guys.
